This fun and whimsical Halloween garland look like candy corn, but don’t try to eat it! Ok, no one would try to eat this candy corn Halloween garland, but I had to say it.

This Halloween candy corn garland is may from air drying clay, paint, and ribbon. It is a fun Halloween craft for kids and the whole family to make together. So, if you have been on the lookout for a family craft project for Halloween I hope you will enjoy this one.

To Make a Halloween Candy Corn Garland You Will Need:

Rolling pin

Butter knife

Tooth picks

Polymer clay, oven fire clay, or air drying clay

Paint

Ribbon (Black)

To get started go ahead and roll a slab of clay out. I prefer oven drying clay or air drying clay, but if you like to work with polymer clay, then knock yourself out.

Now, one of the great things about this Halloween candy corn garland is that our can make the candy corns as large or as small as you want. You can also make the Halloween garland as long as you want.

If you are using oven firing clay or air drying clay try making each candy corn piece about 3 inches wide and 5 inches long. This will make your Halloween candy garland more whimsical.

Now, use a butte knife to cut out each candy corn shape. A simple triangle with rounded corners is all you need.

You can use the toothpick to mark the line where the white, yellow, and orange of the Halloween candy corn meet, or simple paint this later.

You will need to poke two holes in each piece of the garland with a toothpick.

I like the holes to be at the top and bottom, about ½ inch in, but it would be really cool to poke the holes on the left and right sides. When you tie the candy corn garland together you could flip flop every other piece.

Now, once they clay has dried according to your package directions you are ready to paint. You won’t need to paint if you used polymer clay.

You can use acrylic pain ton air drying clay or oven fire clay.

Let the paint dry an you are ready to string the candy corn Halloween garland together.

It really looks great to use black ribbon if you can, but twine will work also or even yarn. The black will tie in and complete the Halloween colors!

Hang yoru Halloween garland anywhere you want once you have finished!
