Halloween at the Zoo – The Oregon Zoo, located in Portland, hosts an annual event called Halloween at the Zoo. Children who participate in this event will go on a Halloween themed scavenger hunt that leads them to various activity stations. Oregon Coast Aquarium – The Oregon Coast Aquarium is hosting two Halloween themed events for kids this year. The first, is the Youth Halloween Sleepover, intended for children aged 7-11. Kids are asked to leave their Halloween costumes at home, so that they can participate in the aquarium’s planned activity of putting on various animal costumes as they learn about animals at the aquarium. The Youth Halloween Sleepover event runs from 6pm on October 24th, to 9am on October 25th, and costs $55 per non-member, and $45 for members. The second Halloween event put on by the Oregon Coast Aquarium is their annual Halloween party, called Creatures of the Night. This Halloween event is intended for all ages and runs from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday, October 25th. There are activities designed for older children as well as younger children, and these can be recognized by the happy or scary face posted at the activity.
Plumper Pumpkin Patch & Tree Farm – The Plumper Pumpkin Patch offers a variety of Halloween fun activities for families with kids. Not only can you get your Halloween pumpkins here, but the Plumper Pumpkin Patch also has a play structure, 40 foot slide, and pony rides! Additionally, there are hay mazes and various pumpkin activities like pumpkin bowling, a pumpkin cannon, and a pumpkin flinging trebuchet.
