When choosing a Halloween event to attend, it is important to be aware of whether the event is intended for young children or older kids and teens. Some Halloween events are designed to be intense and frightening, and are therefore not appropriate for very small children. Trick or Treat Street at the Children’s Museum of Denver – A perfect Halloween event for young children, the Trick or Treat Street event held at the Children’s Museum of Denver offers trick-or-treating at eleven different candy stations placed in various locations throughout the museum. There are also fun Halloween themed craft activities scheduled, and theatre performances throughout the event. The Trick or Treat Street event is typically scheduled for the last week in October. Trick or Treat Train at the Colorado Railroad Museum – This Halloween event is a fun and non scary event, totally appropriate for young children. The train cars and museum grounds get decorated in fun Halloween décor, and there are several different treat stations located throughout the facility during the event. There’s a non scary haunted house, as well. Trains depart every 20 minutes during the Trick or Treat Train event, and the train ride is included with event admission. Halloween Kid’s Fest at the Downtown Aquarium – The Halloween Kid’s Fest at the Downtown Aquarium is a great Halloween event for young children.
