Bloody Cocktails for the Witching Hour

Try these blood-themed, tasty cocktails to add an adult element to your Halloween parties. If you stand in a dark bathroom and drink a bunch of Bloody Mary’s, I bet you’ll get drunk!

Bloody Mary
The classic cocktail is perfect for Halloween, with a spicy twist just right to keep you warm all evening.

1 oz. Vodka

4 dashes Tabasco sauce

4 dashes Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. Horseradish

1 tsp. Garlic

2 dashes olive juice

Tomato juice to top of glass

Celery salt, salt, and pepper

Mix first 6 ingredients together and stir well, pour them into a glass filled with ice and season to taste with celery salt, salt, and pepper. Garnish with celery sticks and olives. Stir well and keep stirring as you drink, or the ingredients might settle and give you a not so welcome scare when you reach the end of your drink.

Sangria

A great drink for a crowd. Fill a rubber glove with ice, freeze until completely solid, and add to the bowl along with peeled grapes to simulate eyeballs and floating hands.

1 bottle of red wine

1 orange cut into wedges

1 lime, cut up

1 lemon, cut up

1 shot Triple Sec

1 shot Gin

1 cup of raspberries or strawberries, cut up

4 cups lemon-lime soda

Combine the wine and the fruit pieces and the triple sec and gin, and allow to marinate overnight. Add the lemon-lime soda and the strawberries/raspberries just before serving.

Pomegranate Margaritas

Pomegranate adds a sweet-sour splash of taste as well as a bloody color to this refreshing Halloween drink.

¼ cup pomegranate juice

4 oz. Tequila

1 oz. Good quality triple sec

2 oz. Fresh lime juice, fresh is essential

Mix ingredients together in a cocktail shaker. Pour the cocktail into ice-filled glasses which have been rimmed with salt.
