Halloween 2016 is right around the corner. Atlanta nightlife offers a wide assortment of choices for Halloween night. For those who are spending Halloween with their family, there are several Atlanta events and attractions that may offer family Halloween fun this year. Whether in the mood for excitement or family relaxation, here are five suggestions for family fun this Halloween in Atlanta.

Flicks on the Bricks: “Monsters vs. Aliens” and Halloween on the Green

Bring your little ones for outdoor trick or treating and Halloween fun beginning at 6:45 pm. Stay for the movie “Monsters vs. Aliens” and enjoy a night under the stars on your blanket or lawn chairs.

Details: Saturday, Oct. 31 2016 at 6:45 pm at the Duluth Festival Center and Amphitheater in Duluth.

Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia

A popular choice with kids each year is to visit Six Flags during Fright Fest. Expect zombies, frightening shows and exciting rides.

Details: Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 am -11 pm at Six Flags over Georgia in Austell.

Netherworld Haunted House

A popular choice every year, the Netherworld Haunted House will not disappoint the adventurous. Voted the #1 Haunted House in America by Haunt World Magazine, The Netherworld Haunted House features two new haunts this year called ‘Carnivore’ and ‘Mangler.’

Details: Open 7pm to midnight on Halloween. Call 404-608-2484 for additional information. Netherworld Haunted House is located at 6624 Dawson Boulevard in Norcross.

Horror Hill

Located just south of Atlanta in Newnan, Georgia is an attraction which is one of the most talked about haunted trails in the Southeast. Since its beginning in 1984, Horror Hill has attracted thousands of visitors each year. Featured attractions include ‘Vertigo Trail,’ ‘The Mortuary,’ ‘Clown Haus in 3-D,’ and the Horror Hill campout.

Details: On Halloween, Horror Hill is open from dark to midnight. Walking the outdoor trail costs $18 and featured attractions are only a small additional cost. For more information, visit www.horrorhill.com.

Darkside Tours: Ghosts of Atlanta

Ghosts of Atlanta is a 90-minute walking tour which meets at an undisclosed location in Atlanta. Appropriate for all ages, the Ghosts of Atlanta tour requires pre-registration as space is limited.

Details: This tour runs year-round. Cost is $15 or $10 for students under 18 (with identification). Children under the age of four are free with adult purchase.
