Celebrate Halloween at the following events in Maryland.
Haunted Hayride is at the Adkins Arboretum at Tuckahoe State Park. The event takes place on Friday October 24th (8::00 p.m. – 10 a.m.) Saturday October 25th (7:00 p.m. – !0:00 p.m.). A great Halloween event will take place at 12610 Eveland Road. Ridgely, MD. It is sponsored by Tuckahoe State Park, the Tuckahoe Equestrian Center and the Eastern Shore Jousting Association. Visitors will ride through the woods and they will experience Witches, Ghosts and ghouls. Also a costume contest will be held 30 minutes before starting time each night. Rain or shine. Cost $8 adults, $5 kids (under 4 years of age free).
Also in Annapolis, you can visit Larriland Farm for their fall festival. Enjoy the colors of fall and the peaceful farm fields as you hunt for the perfect pumpkin. Also a visitor can enjoy a hayride for an added fee which is over a river and through woods. Crafts and freshly squeezed apple cider. A $5 reservation is required. Elk Neck State Park is offering an Owl Prowl on Saturday, Oct 25th 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The address is 4395 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD 21901. It is free for adults and all ages of children. Being quiet is encouraged in order to spot the owls. A flash light and bug spray should be brought. Visitors should meet at Park Headquarters. Gunpowder Falls State Park located at 1207 Sparks Rd. Sparks MD 21152 is offering a fall celebration. It is on Sunday October 26th (1:00 – 5:00 p.m.). Park Naturalists will be hosting meeting wonderful spooky animals of Gunpowder State Park as well as story telling, children’s games and crafts. This activity will be provided rain or shine. Enjoy a creepy crawly Halloween at Patapsco Valley State Park on Wednesday October 29th) 10:00 am -11:00 a.m. Visitors will meet at Shelter #245, Hilton Area Catonsville. This is for ages 3 – 5. Children will meet scary animals and overcome their fears. They will discover who these animals clean up which include vultures. Don’t forget fright fest at Six Flags America on October 3-31. They offer a great scary time with hair raising shows, street entertainment and rides in the dark. Also a special trick and treat trail is offered for kids. For more information go to www.sixflags.com.
