Thousands of communities across the country sponsor fun Halloween events and activities in the fall, making Halloween time an especially fun for families with kids. Finding Halloween events intended solely for young children can be a little challenging though. Fairbanks Animal and Pumpkin Farm – The Fairbanks Animal and Pumpkin Farm is located less than a half hour from downtown Seattle, Washington. In October, this farm is open to the public on weekends for some seasonal Halloween fun. There are pumpkins available for picking and purchase. Additionally, kids can see and pet various farm animals such as ducks, chicks, ponies, pigs, goats, sheep, and rabbits. Remlinger Farms Fall Harvest Festival – This is a wonderful Halloween and Autumn event for the whole family, located at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Washington. There are tons of activities for young kids, such as a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, and a petting zoo. Additionally, there are rides including a steam train, mini ferris wheel, mini carousel, and even a mini rollercoaster! Plan to spend a meal here as well, as there are several outlets for food inside and outside the park. Some of these include a burger stand, a hot dog cart, a pizza place, and The Country Kitchen Restaurant. Admission is $11 for everyone aged 1 to 64. Tiny Goblins Festival – This is a really nice Halloween event intended for kids aged 5 and under. It’s held at the Meadowbrook Community Center, located at 10517 35th Avenue NE, in Northeast Seattle. Freaky Fall Festival – Held at the Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, this Halloween carnival is made up of two separate events. One event is held for children aged 5 and under, while the other is intended for kids aged 6-12. This event costs $3 per person, or $10 per family, and includes treats for kids in costume, and carnival games.
