The Disneyland Resort is a fun place to visit any time of year. But during the Halloween season, the Disneyland Resort transforms into a Haunted wonderland. With special decorations, Halloween merchandise, and a Halloween trick-or-treat party, the Disneyland Resort is a great place to visit during the Halloween season.
Special Halloween decorations – At Disney’s California Adventure you’ll find a field of giant candy corn, and the huge “California” letters out front are dressed up as candy corn, too. The front of Disneyland park is filled with pumpkins carved in Disney themes. The Main Street area of Disneyland park is also elaborately decorated in amazing Halloween decorations, including a pumpkin festival where you’ll find a 16 foot tall Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern! To add to the Halloween fun, several attractions are decorated for Halloween as well. The Haunted Mansion undergoes a complete makeover for Halloween to include the fun and spooky theme of Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas. Watch out for Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie! One of the best Halloween attractions at Disneyland is Woody’s Halloween Roundup, where kids can silly, spooky tales, decorate their own spooky cookie, participate in Halloween themed arts and crafts, visit a spooky petting zoo, and try lots of yummy Halloween treats! Plus, Disney characters will be donning their best Halloween attire.
Halloween treats and goodies – Several of the food vendors inside Disneyland have Halloween treats during this time. Be sure to stop by the Blue Ribbon Bakery, Plaza Inn, Gibson Girl Ice Cream, French Market and outdoor vendors for amazing Halloween goodies like chocolate Mickey pumpkin cookies, pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween popcorn and pumpkin pie. Yummy!
Halloween themed Disney merchandise – Add to the Disney Halloween fun by dressing up in one of your favorite Disney costumes, available for purchase within the park. Also, during the Halloween season, Disneyland will sell special Halloween themed trading pins. Disneyland will also have other Halloween themed merchandise, like pumpkin head mouse ears, a Minnie “witch” hat, Halloween candy baskets, antennae toppers and more.
Have Disney Halloween fun online – At the Disneyland website, you can find fun Halloween activities to do online. Play a fun Disney game where you catch falling candy corns, get Disney Halloween coloring pages, or Disney pumpkin carving patterns to print out and use at home! Also, you can add spooky or fun Disney frames and decorations to photos that you upload to the Disneyland website.
The 2016 Halloween Time at Disneyland runs from September 26th to November 2nd. There’s also a separate ticketed event at California Adventure called Mickey’s Trick or Treat Party. Tickets for this event are limited, and are priced at $29 advance purchase, or $37 on Halloween. The event runs on multiple dates. For specific schedule information, check out the Disneyland website!
