Virginia Beach is well known for its beautiful oceanfront, wonderful weather, and thousands of enjoyable activities for families and friends alike. As the summer comes to an end and autumn begins, the weather cools down substantially, the leaves change colors, and the tourists leave. In addition, autumn brings numerous seasonal haunted attractions in and around Virginia Beach. Here is a list of the best haunted attractions in and around Virginia Beach.
1) Haunted Attraction: Hunt Club Haunted Hayride and Halloween Festival
This fall-time haunted attraction is a locals’ favorite. Located at 2388 London Bridge Rd., this haunted “carnival” (for lack of a better word) features three main haunted attractions, all sorts of exhibition booths, delicious food, and amusement rides and games. The three main haunted attractions are the Haunted Hayride, Village of the Dead, and the Field of Screams. The Haunted Hayride seats you and about 25 other victims on a tractor pulled hay cart. The cart is pulled through a scary mock town, filled with gruesome, frightening, and surprising displays, noises, props, and actors. This hayride lasts anywhere from 15-25 minutes, and is a fun activity for the whole family. The Village of the Dead is a scary walk-through attraction through a haunted village. Actors, props, special effects, and surprises are combined to scare you out of your socks. This is a fun haunted attraction that you can enjoy at your own pace. The Field of Screams is a walk- through haunted attraction through a cornfield filled with actors, special effects, and frightening surprises. Hunt club is open on the weekends from 7pm-11pm starting October 2nd. As the month progresses, they gradually increase the number of days they are open. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for children, and an unlimited visitation wristband for the whole season is only $30. For more information, visit their website here.
