Halloween is a great holiday! Kids of all ages love to dress up as someone or something else and have a great time. Whether you are two or 32, or even 54, Halloween has some great fun-filled nights coming your way. So take a chance and relax a bit, grab the kids and head to an activity of your choosing. These five places around the United States offer some of the best Halloween parties around.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

I know, the last thing you think about when Halloween comes to mind is Disney. But at Disney World in Orlando, Florida Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of the best celebrations of Halloween around. The event is held on several different nights during September and October at the Magic Kingdom. Although a special admission ticket is required to get in to the fun, Disney delivers. The characters can be seen dressed in their Halloween costumes. The night is filled with trick or treating, pictures, two parades, and the festivities come to a thunderous end with a fantastic fireworks display only Disney can offer. Halloween Horror Nights

At Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, Halloween Horror Nights will give you quite a fright. On several different nights in September and October, Universal Studios puts Halloween front and center. The event is filled with haunted houses and live shows. The classic Universal monsters and creatures are sure to get your heart pumping a little quicker.

Your House

Departing from the extensive and somewhat expensive Halloween parties at theme parks, a Halloween event hosted by yourself is a great way to experience the holiday. You can put your own spin on the holiday with different games and activities, and still keep costs in check. Sitting around a campfire with family and friends telling scary stories is a great way to spend Halloween. So start planning that party now, you can share your experience with as many or as few folks as you want.

Pittsburgh Zoo Boo

The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium has an annual event called Zoo Boo. During Zoo Boo children get to trick or treat in the Zoo. Everyone is treated to a haunted house and a special train ride. Zoo Boo allows kids and parents to interact with everyone in an unusual environment, namely the Zoo. Zoo Boo is a great time to get the kids into their costumes and get them walking around. In addition, everyone gets to learn a thing or two about the animals.

Your Town

Chances are you do not live near any of the major theme parks with huge Halloween festivals. However, chances are also pretty good that your area features some great Halloween activities. Not just haunted houses, but hay rides, trick or treating, even smaller Halloween get togethers. Halloween is a great time of year to have some fun with the family, and a fantastic time to hang out with friends. So put on a costume and head out to a party, or take the kids to a local corn maze. You have a chance to have some fun and create a ton of memories, the majority of Halloween events will not require a lot of money. Enjoy the season.
