Gastronomy Festival in Spain, Madrid Fusion

This year, 2018, sees the Ninth International Gastronomy Summit, Madrid Fusión taking place on 25th, 26th and 27th January at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid capital.

New trends in food and wine are to be showcased and this year two new events join the summit: Sweet Fusion where some outstanding chefs will demonstrate their latest creations and Enofusion an exhibition and tastings of some of the world´s better wines.

Madrid Fusión

The summit now a highly regarded and well-attended yearly event sees attendance of celebrity chefs from around the globe, during the three days you can experience tastings, hands-on, restaurant management, new culinary professions, designer plates, recipe reengineering and creativity, these are just some amongst many of the ideas on display.

Enofusion

Enofusión is an event dedicated to exhibiting and tasting some of the world´s most prestigious wines and this year there´s a bar “Enobar” where some of the selection of the latest most popular wines will be available for tasting.

Enofusion is organising an area called The Wine Centre which will provide a host of different activities relating to wine.

Sweet Fusion

Jordi Butrón is to showcase his latest dessert designs and Yann Duytsche and Frederic Bau will share their vast knowledge of the chocolate world. Kees Van Erp, Dirk Rogge, Victor Pena and Detlef Doersam of Unilever Foodsolutions will unveil the latest ice cream advances with their technology.

Gastrofestival

A sister event to Madrid Fusion is the Gastrofestival, the second one, which is to examine the relationship between food and wine. Running from 24th Jan to 6th Feb the Gastrofestival celebrates the culinary landscape of Madrid, including the relationship between food and wine to art, cinema, theater, fashion and literature, events will take place at various venues around the city

A popular event will be Dinner with the Stars where Internationally renowned chefs from different countries such as Singapore, Mexico, Israel and Italy will showcase their talents in restaurants throughout Madrie at special offer menu prices of 25 Euros which includes free wine tastings.

Among the events and demonstrations planned are the benefits of mushrooms served with great Italian pasta and for a tasty taster the Chocolate Experience. There is also a market tour and cooking workshop.
