Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse vehicle.

Zombie will be writer, director and producer of Halloween (2016).

Malcom McDowell

A great actor who made the big time back in 1971 when he played Alex in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, Malcolm McDowell has had an illustrious career playing villains and some almost forgettable roles. The actor, born on June 13, 1943 is going to be playing one of the most famous doctor roles in the history of film – certainly horror films. He’ll be replacing the late great Donald Pleasence as Dr. Loomis. His other credits are Time After Time, Star Trek: Generations, and In Good Company.

Other credits of Halloween (2016)

Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode. Scout was born on February 21, 1989 in Long Beach, California. She began her career on the Fox series, Ally McBeal. Her film debut was in 2016’s 7 Songs. I have no idea what that movies is or who this girl is for that matter, but one can always hope that she can measure up to the talents of former scream-queen, Jamie Lee Curtis.

Brad Dourif as Sheriff Brackett. This is a genre Brad is highly familiar with, after all, Brad has been the long-running voice of Chucky, the killer doll from Child’s Play. But the actor, born on March 18, 1950 has also starred in so many other movies, you can recognize him for his face as well as his voice. Brad’s credits include Dune, Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers and Alien: Resurrection.

Tyler Mane as the adult Michael Myers. Here’s a conundrum, cast a former World Champion Wrestler as the most famous slasher killer in film since Norman Bates. The Canadian actor did play the animalistic Sabretooth in X-Men, why can’t he be even more gruesome as the notorious murder, Michael Myers? Oh, but wait, you’ll probably never see the man’s face, because Michael can’t kill unless he wears a mask that suspicious looks like a converted William Shatner Halloween mask.

Trivia note: Want to know how that Michael Myers mask was conceived? Back in ’78, John Carpenter and his crew were so desperate to find a mask that would show up in the shadows and add extra dread to their “Shape” character, they ended up finding a William Shatner / Captain Kirk mask in a Halloween costume store, and painted it white.
