Haunt World is always a good resource. Do the research to make sure you are getting to visit the best haunted houses, and not just ones that are so-so.
Visit your local theme park
This isn’t an option for everyone, but it is a good one for those that live near one. Six Flags theme parks offer Fright Fest and other activities throughout the entire month of October. You will be able to ride all the rides and visit some haunted places in one trip. You will get the feel of Halloween without all the little children running around outside or ringing your doorbell all night.
Host a costume party
If the weather is too cold for a bonfire, or you just don’t have the means to make one, this is another great option. You can make it themed or just have a regular costume party, the options are limitless. Serving things like blood punch, eye balls and brains (spaghetti with meatballs), or anything along those lines will help make the party spooky. You buy decorations, or make your own. Don’t forget the scary movies to watch with your friends once it gets later in the evening.
Halloween can be fun for people of all ages, even teens and adults. Costume parties, haunted houses, and theme parks are things everyone can enjoy. The Halloween spirit doesn’t have to end when trick-or-treating stops, you just have to become more creative with the activities you host.
