Halloween is a favorite holiday not only for kids but for many adults as well. While there are many events geared towards adults, many families who want to go and celebrate this fun holiday may be searching to do something that is less scary and a bit more kid-friendly. Here is a look at some of the best kid-friendly Halloween activities for those who live in or around Zephyrhills, Florida for 2016.

Lowry Park’s Zoo Boo is one of Tampa, Florida’s more popular kid friendly Halloween events for 2016. With a special “shriek peek” weekend on September 25th and 26th, Lowry Park will be hosting Zoo Boo every weekend of October most nights from 7-11 with some special hours on select Sunday-Thursdays. Zoo Boo is great for families because Lowry Park takes the time to rate their activities on their scare level with something for everyone. From tiny toddlers to teens there is plenty for everyone even those who are looking for a good “scare”. Zoo Boo tickets are priced at $17 for adults ages 12 and up and $14 for kids except on select days such as the “shriek peek” weekend where they are $10. Tickets can be bought at the front gate or purchased online.

Hillsborough State Park Haunted Woods will take place this year on October 22nd and October 23rd. For many years now Hillsborough State Park has been turning some of its woods into a family friendly Halloween event complete with hayrides, “haunted” trails, games and foods. Volunteers help make this event possible and it is a great way for families to get out and celebrate Halloween in a safe environment. Tickets are $5 a person, making it one of the more affordable kid friendly Halloween events around Tampa, Florida and it runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Zephyrhills Main Street will be hosting it’s annual Halloween Howl on October 23rd of this year as well as its Saturday Night Cruise. Located in downtown Zephyrhills this is another safe way for families to celebrate Halloween and is the perfect chance for kids to dress up and get some candy. With entertainment and many local businesses coming out to help make this event successful there is games, food and lots of other activities to make it a memorable night. This event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes as there are chances for them to go trick or treating at all of the local booths. This event is great for local families because they do not have to travel far and it is free to get into.
