Top Halloween Events in Miami, Florida 2016

2. MetroBoo at the Miami MetroZoo (305) 251-6381: On Halloween day the MetroZoo will be decorated for the occasion along with special themed animal displays. There will be many Halloween events including costume contests, trick-or-treating and live music. This is a one day event, only on the 31st, so make sure to take your kids and explore the zoo! 3. Halloween Sundowner at the Vizcaya Musuem (305) 856-4866: One thing the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is famous for is its annual Halloween event. Hosted on the grounds of the stunning mansion and gardens you can enjoy imaginative cocktails and dancing. Don’t forget to dress up to participate in the costume contest. This event is for adults only and is a fundraiser for the restoration and preservation of the grounds. More hours and other information go to www.vizcayans.org.

Trunk-or-treat in Homestead (305) 224-4570: This family friendly Miami tradition sends the crowds to Harris Field Pavilion where kids can have fun trick-or-treating from cars scattered all over the park. This event is free and is open to everyone. It is for one night only on October 31st and starts at 6:30. Call the number above for more information.

5. Halloween on the Miracle Mile (305) 569-0311: The Miracle Mile in Coral Gables will be inviting all kids and their families to enjoy fun and safe Halloween activities. There will be trick-or-treating at the stores, a costume contest and even a scavenger hunt. Admission is free and starts at 4pm on October 31st only. 6. Halloween Half Marathon in Miami Beach: If you’re a die-hard runner or even just looking for something fun to do on Halloween morning, consider being a part of the first ever Halloween half marathon along the streets of Miami Beach. The event starts at 6am and there will prizes for costumes including the fastest superhero, the fastest funny costume, the fastest villain and many more.
