Rock and Indie Concerts
Soft melodic British rockers Coldplay have been touring since the summer on the world Viva La Vida tour – swiftly following the release of their Prospekt’s March EP they have just announced 3 new major UK dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London. Tickets go on sale on Friday 28th November, but are expected to sell fast!
Post-punk revival all round entertainers and Anglophiles, The Killers, will be in both North America and the UK well into the new year on tour for the brilliant Day and Age album. Dates are nationwide and almost sold out, but there are still a few dates available. Don’t miss out on one of the best bands around.
The massive Kings of Leon are setting off on a world tour, taking in The UK, rest of Europe, North America and Australasia, for fourth album Only By The Night, featuring ‘Sex On Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’. If you miss out on the December UK dates don’t worry, they’re back in June.
Keane, the piano rock band behind hits including ‘Bedshaped’ and ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, will be touring nationwide in January and February, part of the Perfect Symmetry tour. Tickets available now.
Rock blues legend ‘Slowhand’ Eric Clapton will be visiting Japan, Australia and then the UK. UK dates are in May, with a much anticipated series of dates at the Royal Albert Hall.
Pop and Chart Concerts
Nicole Sherzinger and co. embark on the Pussycat Dolls World Domination Tour, starting in Europe (UK tickets on sale now) and coming to North America in the Spring. The Dolls are currently charting with hit single ‘When I Grow Up’, and will be appearing at the Royal Variety Performance, on December 11th.
Meanwhile homegrown girl group Girls Aloud have announced a 10-date arena tour starting in Belfast in April. Tickets are on sale now. The tour supports fifth album Out of Control, featuring forthcoming single ‘The Loving Kind’.
Beyonce kicks off a reportedly epic 110 date world tour in support of her third album I am…Sasha Fierce. Three major UK dates in May are included in Birmingham, Manchester and London. Tickets go on sale today (26th Nov). Expect spectacular shows from the Destiny’s Child diva.
Much-troubled Britney Spears looks set to lay the ghosts of her recent past to rest in last year with a huge world tour for her new Circus album featuring new single ‘Womaniser’. She has a point to prove, and this tour is likely to be the testing ground. Expect big things. Spears will play two shows at London’s O2 Arena, the only shows in Europe. Tickets go on sale on 5th December, but fans can register for tickets the previous day.
Pink kicks off her massive Funhouse tour in February in Nice, having enjoyed major success with her ‘So What’ single, and second single ‘Crystal Ball’. She’ll be in Britain for April and May, including shows in Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and London. Tickets are selling now.
X-Factor winner and teen favourite Shayne Ward has just released extra tickets for two shows in Ireland due to ‘exceptional demand’. Dates are at the end of December, for those who can’t wait for Spring and Summer tours to come round. The extra tickets go on sale tomorrow (28th Nov).
Also worth a mention is the Take That nationwide tour in June. The comeback kids are enjoying another wave of success with new album The Circus, featuring ‘Greatest Day’. While tickets are all but sold out, determined gift hunters may still be able to track down these gold dust tickets.
